Over the past week, I have been driving a Volkswagen Bettle Convertible. It is by far one of the funnest cars I have ever driven and is particularly great for driving in the Florida sunshine -- especially after all the snow and cold weather we've had up in Virginia this winter. I even have a sunburned face to prove it!
The handling of this car is superb, it has great acceleration, and its small size makes it super-easy to park. There is nothing like driving with the top down and breeze blowing with the Florida sun and blue skies overhead. My immediate thought when driving away after picking it up at the airport was: "Why on earth did I never drive something like this when I lived here?"
This car is so much fun, I've been intentionally taking long ways to go places. Even though it got cold at night, I refused to put the top up on my 2-hour trip back from St. Pete on Sunday.
Who knows? It's a German car, so maybe even Ali would like it!
