Traveling Around Town

Tuesday, I met with my friends Fred and Brian for lunch at Moe's in Winter Springs.  Their friend Jan also joined us -- I had heard many good things about her, but this was my first time meeting her.  She was great and is doing a good job looking out for Fred and Brian.

After leaving Moe's, I headed out to Borders in Winter Park (one of my old hang-outs) to meet up with Michael, who I've know for over 12 years.  We've both had a strong attraction towards academia since I've known him and he is now teaching at Valencia Community College (where I used to teach) and I'm back in school.  We were both on spring break and so were able to hang out for several hours catching up on what's been going on in each other's life since we last saw each other.  Michael's someone I always enjoy talking to.

After leaving Winter Park, I ran down to Mall at Millenia to meet up with my friend Christy to help her purchase her first iPod ever!

While at the mall, we also ran into Natalie (who traveled to India with me in 2003) and Lisa (Christy's sister).  I hadn't seen Natalie yet and it was great to unexpectedly be able to get caught up with her a bit.  She now has a serious boyfriend and is the happiest I have ever seen her.

After making sure Christy's electronics purchase went through without a hitch, I ran over to Green n' Grille to meet Brian, Gary, and Brenda for dinner.  I hadn't seen Gary or Brenda yet and we had a fun time trying to decipher all the latest episodes of Battlestar Galactica, Lost, and Heroes.

After dinner, Brian had to head home.  Gary and I went to TGIFriday's for our usual milkshakes and then met Brenda over at their place to hang out for awhile and give me a chance to see their bunnies, Buttons and Hoppy.  (I'd met Buttons before, but this was my first time meeting Hoppy.)  Both bunnies were super-cute!

I finally headed home around 1:30 AM, ending a fantastic day spent with friends.
