Nine-year-old Ellie Skees journeyed home to heaven tonight. She had been fighting a rare form of cancer for over a year. I met Ellie on several occasions while I was living in Orlando, before she got sick. She was a precious and delightful little girl.
I spent years volunteering with terminally ill kids in Orlando and there is nothing more heartbreaking than seeing parents having to say goodbye to their dying child. Please pray for Ellie's family as they suffer through the tragic loss of their little girl.
