Apple Announces New iPods

Apple just announced a new series of iPods today. They include:
  • iPod Touch: Basically the iPhone without the phone. Priced at $299 for 8 GB and $399 for 16 GB.
  • iPod Classic: The traditional iPod now available in 80 GB ($249) and 160 GB ($349) versions.
  • iPod Nano: They now do videos on a 2-inch screen sold in 4 GB ($149) and 8 GB ($199) versions.
  • iPod Suffle: Nothing new here other than some additional color choices. Still $79 for a 1 GB model.
Some other announcements are that the iPhone just dropped in price by $200 (the 4 GB model is now $299 and the 8 GB is $399 - not everyone is happy about this) and you can now purchase music directly with your iPod touch and iPhone on the new Wi-Fi iTunes store.
