Randy Neal reviews the Garmin Nuvi 650 GPS Navigator and really likes it. My parents just bought the Garmin Nuvi 660 and love it! On one of my last visits, I got a chance to play and it really got me drooling.
On my last trip to Orlando, my friend Brian (who I stayed with) let me borrow his Garmin 330 for the whole week. I used it to drive to a friend's wedding down in St. Pete and it was fantastic! I was able to go the whole week without worrying about looking at street signs or following directions from MapQuest.
Dad and I keep saying something like this would have been a godsend on our trip across the US a couple summers ago. It would also be great for navigating around the DC area, especially if you get a unit that gets automatic traffic updates.
I'd say it's not so much a matter of if, as much as when I buy a GPS. They are really, really cool and are getting better (and cheaper!) all the time.
