Prelims Are Here!

Tonight at 6 PM, I will be taking the first of two of my PhD prelim examinations. (Tonight is Micro and Thursday is Macro.) They basically determine whether or not we get to continue progress in our PhD program. After weeks of cramming, they are finally here.

I am just getting ready to go to bed after reviewing my notes one last time. I feel neither overly-nervous nor overly-confident, but am looking forward to finally facing these and (hopefully!) getting them out of the way.

Please say a prayer for my classmates and me. Other than writing our dissertations, passing these tests is probably the biggest hurdle we have to get over on our journey towards getting our PhDs.
