How Much For That Landspeeder?

I just found some more Star Wars goodness on Make Magazine:

Wow, this auction started and ended before I could even post it, and I see why - "This running replica of the Star Wars Landspeeder was built by a professional movie and concept car builder. It is based on a 1988 Ford Escort donor. This was actually licensed in California and I has driven it on the Hollywood Freeway to Hollywood Boulevard (Chinese Theater) for a photo op. From a log book side of things you would get it registered as an Escort left hand drive import with body kit! The radiator has been redone and the tranny and other drive parts checked and work very well!

For a realistic look, it has not been done in a "factory fresh" style but made to reflect the idea that it has been in the desert and in use for decades. Right now there is some touch-up painting needed but otherwise it looks good. If you are into it, you can redo the interior dash to a better Landspeeder look and that should not take a lot of work if you do it yourself. "
