The Attorney General Visited GMU Today

Attorney General Eric Holder visited GMU today. He spoke to us about his work at the DOJ, encouraged us to pursue careers 'fighting crime', emphasized the role of empirics in addressing crime, and talked about the importance of completing high school and involved fathers in minimizing crime. He also mentioned the sad statistic that 1% of the adult US population is currently in prison.

It was a quick, but good visit and one of the many benefits of our school being so close to DC.
