intel released v2 beta of their netbook optimized OS, Moblin. (moblin.org)

You can write the installer to a usb flash drive and have it run it from said drive to try it out without having to install it.

Their servers were backed up so I didn't have a chance to try it last night. One of the claimed features is more battery life. Think you can push the eee to 14 hours?!
