ugh, i love them, especially now that they have a graphics card but the lack of firewire kills me!
I use firewire to do nightly back-ups and while my hard drive is also usb 2.0 capable, firewire works better and faster. my digital camcorder is also firewire and I've used target disk mode to turn a computer into an expensive external hard drive for quick file transfers and backups.
its not the first time apple has dropped features and had people survive though. (floppy disk, phone modem)

Brian, what's keeping you from making the jump? I'm pissed I got a MacBook in January... these new ones are frickin' sweet!
I would love to get one! Trying to figure out a way to justify it. Maybe next year? They are sweet machines indeed!
