The Case For Mindless Economics?

I just signed up for a class in Neuronomics with Kevin McCabe this fall. Here's a critique of the field by Frank Gul and Wolfgang Pesendorfer [PDF]:
Neuroeconomics proposes radical changes in the methods of economics. This essay discusses the proposed changes in methodology, together with the the neuroeconomic critique of standard economics. We do not assess the contributions or promise of neuroeconomic research. Rather, we offer a response to the neuroeconomic critique of standard economics.
I look forward to learning more and forming my own opinion. From what little I know, Neuronomics sounds like a fascinating field and one I hope helps me develop more realistic agent-based models for economic research.
