Tim Russert passed away from a heart attack today. He was 58.
I don't watch much TV and even less of the news, but anytime I saw Russert he struck me as an intelligent, likable, and respectful man of good character and deep insight. It seems many others agree.
Russert had been named one of the 100 most influential people of 2008 by Time Magazine.
My heart and prayers go out to his family and friends.
