A Space Saving Idea

Turn a chair into a bedside table:
Seating too rickety to sustain an adult's weight works well as a bedside table, providing a useful yet unobtrusive surface in a small room. The back of the chair can serve as a place tohang a light robe.

If there's a hole in the caning, place a small tray on the seat of the chair to hold an alarm clock, a reading lamp, and a glass of water.
I just did this in my room, using a folding chair Triya gave me. It provides me with a place to get my bag up off the floor and some storage underneath. I'm surprised by how much less cluttered it makes my room look.
