Leo Babauta (author of Zen Habits) not only just quit his job to become a full-time blogger, and just signed a book deal, but he's also started a new blog devoted to helping people learn to write. It's called Write to Done and it looks nearly as good as Zen Habits.
Here is a description of it in Leo's own words:
I’m hoping you’ll go and check it out, and if you’re interested, subscribe. However, not every Zen Habits reader will love Write To Done … it’s aimed at writers … from professionals to people who want to be writers or enjoy writing, bloggers, aspiring novelists and poets to freelance writers. I’m hoping a good number of you will fit into those categories, but who knows?
Write To Done is not a money-making project for me (there aren’t any ads, at least for awhile) … it’s more of an outlet for posts I’ve been wanting to write about writing and blogging. Those kinds of articles don’t fit in well here at Zen Habits, and I really don’t have a good outlet. So this is it.
It’s also a way for me to share what I’ve learned in 17 years of being a professional writer, what I’ve learned in getting a book deal, what I’ve learned as a professional and fairly successful blogger, and what I will learn as I complete my first published book.
Just some of the topics I’ll be covering:
- The habit of writing.
- Freelance writing.
- Blogwriting.
- Writing fiction.
- The business of writing.
- Writing tools.
- Productivity for writers.
- Journalism.
- The craft of writing.
There are a number of articles on there, and that number will be growing as the year progresses. I’ll be posting twice weekly, so you don’t need to worry about your feed reader being overwhelmed by subscribing. I might post an occasional link post or announcement, but mostly it’ll just be two feature posts a week.
Here are the articles up so far:
Check it out. I hope to pick up some pointers as I start to work on academic articles and dissertation ideas.
