Solar Powered Bible

A couple of minor tweaks and this would be a great tool for missionaries:
It talks in a human voice, fits in the palm of your hands, is biblical and charged by the sun (or a light bulb or charged from a 9 volt DC adapter ((not included)). What is it? A solar powered bible you can listen to over and over again.

The solar powered bible contains all the books of the Bible, Old and New Testament, and it speaks in a real human voice. Press the button and go from one chapter to the next. You can even go back and listen to a book if you need to. Fully charged the solar powered bible can play up to ten hours.

Innovative or lazy? What do you think? Is it useful for the hearing impaired? Will this help the illiterate be more religious or will it help the religious become illiterate?

I could see this being a real boon to missionaries working with non-literate cultures. The ability to run it off of the sun means that it wouldn't need a power source -- perfect for working in many third world conditions. Technically, there should be no problem replacing the audio data in this with any other language, giving a technical design that could accommodate a Bible in any spoken language. The hardware and software is already there.

If the basic platform of this device were used to build a solar-powered MP3 player, it would be a boon for both travelers and people who work long-term in third world environments. A device like this could easily be turned into a solar-powered seminary.
