There will be a protest for Pakistan this Sunday, November 11th in Washington, D.C.:
On November 3, Gen. Musharraf suspended the constitution of Pakistan, illegally deposed the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, clamped down on the judiciary, used excessively violent measures to suppress dissident lawyers and human rights activists and blocked the non-government media. These acts portrayed as necessary against the War on Terror, have been used almost singularly to attack the civil society.

These are not mundane political acts, but gross violations of civil liberty: we are not political activists, we are protesting to protect institutions that protect our rights.

Sunday, November 11th, 1:00-3:30pm at
the Pakistani Embassy at 3517 International Court N.W. Washington, D.C. 20008
