Don't Waste Your Life

"If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right."
A brilliant speech by Steve Jobs given at Standford's commencement in 2005:

Read the text of his speech here. In this address, Jobs tells his audience three things:
1) Trust in Providence.
2) See purpose in their suffering.
3) Reflect every day on the reality of death.
There is a Christian book called Don't Waste Your Life that has a similar theme to Jobs' speech, challenging its readers to live life with purpose and meaning. I read a longer version of the book and it is one of the few books that I can honestly say changed my life. It's where I get the term Christian Hedonist that I use in the subtitle of this blog.

Don't Waste Your Life has a website, a Facebook page, and a blog. You can download a copy of the book (and study guide) for free. [PDF]

If you like Jobs' commencement speech, be sure to check this one out too.
