Don't forget today is Hokie Hope. Please wear orange and maroon in support of Virginia Tech.Virginia Governor Tim Kaine has declared today to be a statewide day of mourning. Many other states have done the same.
The sports world has also lent its support. (The Washington Nationals even wore VT hats during their game against the Braves on Tuesday.) Virginia Tech alumni continue to organize memorial services across the nation.
Colleges and Universities around the country have been showing tremendous support to the Hokies throughout this tragedy, including all of our traditional rivals. As a graduate of Virginia Tech, a University of Florida alumnus, and a current student at George Mason, these two images are especially touching to me:
