Ali just sent me this e-mail from Pakistan:
I'm fully immersed in the Pakistan experience right now. It was scary driving the first couple of days, but now I'm back to my usual anarchic driving style =P. Now more than ever, I'm convinced anarchy is ridiculous.
While I haven't driven in it, I've also experienced similar traffic in India -- including riding on the back of a motor scooter at night through the streets of Bangalore. I have yet to hear of a reasonable argument to convince me that anarchy wouldn't deteriorate into something far worse than this in all areas of life.
Here's a video I linked to some time ago showing what traffic is like in India. I'm assuming what Ali is experiencing in Pakistan is similar.
Triya recently blogged about this video and commented:
From this angle, I cannot believe I used to drive in this city and managed to do so without a single accident.
Neither can I!

I'm confused how government owned and operated roads are an analogy for anarchy.
