A couple days ago, Dad was showing me some geneology research he's been doing on our family. It turns out my great-great-great-great-great grandfather and I were born in the same small town -- Frederick, MD, over 220 years apart from each other! John Bowman Jr. was born in Frederick, MD sometime around 1750.
Prior to doing this research, we had no idea we had ancestry who had lived in Maryland. Both my parents are from Michigan and Frederick was a pretty small town when I was born. (It's now about 57,000.) It is a very small world!
Frederick is also where Francis Scott Key, author of the Star Spangled Banner, is from.
