"Trust Me, I'm An Economist"

Tim Hartford has a new video series called "Trust Me, I'm An Economist".  In this episode, he does a great job using common-sense examples to explain why lots of financial advice given by so-called "experts" is dubious at best.  Economists call this the "efficient market hypothesis".  Don't let the name put you off.  The concept is both simple to understand and powerful.  Watch the video and you'll understand why.

See other episodes here and here.
