Now Virginia?

I've been watching the election returns and the Democrats have won the House. For the Senate, it looks like it's down to three key undecided states -- Montana, Missouri, and Virginia. Both Montana and Missouri are trending towards the Democrats which means the Virginia seat may determine which party controls the Senate. The pundits are saying the Virginia race is so close there will probably be a recount and lawsuits over the upcoming days.

I lived in Orlando, Florida during the 2000 Bush-Gore election. Why am I suddenly feeling deja vu?

P.S. -- Some pundits on TV were just commenting that in 2000, just over 500 votes determined the Presidency. Now it looks like about 2,000 votes will determine control of the Senate. Both times, my vote has been one of the ones in the fray.

P.P.S. -- Rick Hasen looks at the prospects for a recount in Virginia. (via Instapundit.)
