She Would Have Been 102

Yesterday (June 28th) was my Grandma Hollar's birthday. If she was still alive, she would have been 102. (She lived until age 93 -- just shy of her 94th birthday.)

It's amazing to think of how the world has changed since her birth.

It's just as amazing to think about my 90-year-old Aunt Ruth, who just went to Alaska with me and who has lived through most of these changes. She has personally witnessed over one-third of US history -- literally going from horse and buggy to riding on jet planes. She used to ride a pony to school and now travels the world on airplanes at 500-miles-an-hour. Not only that, but she has e-mail and uses it too!
