The Science of Superheroes!

Now this looks like a ton of fun!
Is there a biological basis to Hulk’s transformation? How can knowledge of simple mechanics help us command the strength of Iron Man? Find the answers to these questions and more. Learn about the remarkable achievements of current science and technology – achievements that in many ways give us special powers we dream of through the comics – while living the fantasy of your favorite Marvel Super Hero.
That is from the website of the California Science Center in Los Angeles where the exhibit is premiering from March 26th - September 4th.

Here's some more from the exhibit website:
Step into the incredible Marvel® Universe and experience all of your favorite Super Heroes™ and Villains. Over 30 amazing action stations reveal the powerful real-life science within Marvel®'s legends. Discover how Bruce Banner's emotions transform him into the Incredible Hulk! Dangle from the "Spider Web" and climb the walls, Spider-Man style! Destroy evil with Wolverine, Storm and the rest of the X-Men! Take command of Iron Man's armor and lift a car! Sharpen your senses in Daredevil's darkened world! Find it all at the most action-packed science exhibition ever!
Some of the things you'll be able to do include:
  • Explore the wonders of Spider-Man while learning about the elasticity and strength of spider webs. Test the strength of spider silk to Technora™, one of the strongest materials ever created.
  • Investigate the Incredible Hulk’s brain and learn which areas are responsible for generating human emotions such as rage—the key to Hulk’s super abilities.
  • Touch Iceman’s over-sized hands; make him melt and watch as he refreezes. Explore the states of matter by learning how ice is formed and how it melts when it’s touched.
You can even download a PDF content guide for creating educational programs around this.

I would have loved this when I was a kid! Heck -- I'd love it now!!!

Hattip to BoingBoing for pointing this out.
