The Citizen Scientist

Apparently, The Citizen Scientist has been around for awhile now:

This electronic publication is published by the Society for Amateur Scientists, an organization dedicated to helping people enrich their lives by following their passion to take part in scientific adventures of all kinds. Our members run the gamut from professional scientists with Ph.D.s to young people with a thirst to understand the world around them.

The Citizen Scientist is a tool, a forum, a gallery of uncommon ingenuity. Every week we publish news, ideas, and techniques from the amateur scientist community. Our goal is to educate and empower those who enjoy testing the limits of their genius and experience against the wonders and mysteries of science and technology.

Have fun exploring around their website! (I certainly did!) They’ve got pictures galore, back issues, ideas for hands-on projects, debates about “The Citizen Scientist’s Most Versatile Instrument”, random weblinks, and more.

Can’t believe I haven’t stumbled onto this before….
